Take me to better places
promise me you´ll free my soul
free my soul
I´ve seen dispairing faces
Could anybody make ´em whole
Can you make ´em wohle
Even we are worlds apart
We can feel it in our heart
A rhythm
The beat of a drum
In my ear it´s loud and clear
Can´t you feel it can´t you hear
the rhythm
The beat of africa
[Chorus]
Wings of compassion
take me down to
the wounded people near and far
Wings of compassion
take me deeper
into the heart of africa
[Verse]
Life is a book of pages
We are the authors of ´em all
of ´em all
Like actors on great stages
we wait for the directors call
the directors call
[Bridge]
Hear the rhythm´s telling us a story of hope
hear the rhythm, hear the story
Every beat is sending us a message of love
Let us answer lets respond

Hide beneath the wall
Staring with starving eyes
Look at these children
Fighting and fall
Hiding their selves in disguise
Cause fighting’s going on
Far too long
An endless sea of tears
Children are marching on
Don’t know what they’re dying for
What’s your secret
Mother Africa
Beautiful and still so violent
Fruits of nature
You could have it all
Still you get nothing out of it
Why don’t you throw away
All the pain of slavery and greed
Cause when the sun comes up
All you see
Are your possibilities
Wake up
These chances won’t wait long
It’s all up to us
Together
We can get what we need
And I know you can’t ignore that forever
Wake up
These chances won’t wait long
It’s all up to us
So tired of being judged by the color of our skin
We all wanna live in dignity
From Cape Town to Johannesburg
From Durban to Pretoria
From Barberton to Robertson
East to West and North to South
There’s a wave across the land
Stop the fighting now!
We want to be…free

how colorful life can be
cause you set no feet
on african soil and shore
the wilderness so still
you hear your beat of heart
but peace is going ill
white men annoying hard
creatures try to hide
savannah lays her arms
as good as she can do
but shelter falls apart
You never saw
this beauty of a wounded soul
you never felt
a loving so deep and old
you never smelled
how colorful life can be
cause you set no feet
on african soil and shore
the country has to bleed
and children have to starve
but hope will always feed
the spirit and the art
to live a life in pride
that fills a black man\'s heart
who\'s eyes are filled with sun
while days are sometimes dark
You never saw
this beauty of a wounded soul
you never felt
a loving so deep and old
people dancing - on the streets
clap their hands - stomp their feet
never loose their - smiling face
africa - is living grace

Still there - ya
Only one word
May change a world
Justice
Do you notice?
You ask for justice
But you must notice
They can not afford
They haven’t that word
Ubuntu means peace -
Peace with the devil
The peace with the past
To bring back at last
Justice for the nation

Between all the nations
Between all the people

Following wrong ways

Following the new ways
When I grew up in this land
The reality was banned
No chance to meet this people
No chance to talk with this people
No chance to walk with this people
No chance to live wih this people
But now sitting with my bag
In the back

Looking forward
After a new start
This bus has now a good driver
Following with a new map better ways
We are all the lucky survivers
Of this wrong Apartheid ways

Verse 1 (Mr. T-N-T):
Rough and raw is the African race /
Too tough to fall no man can take over the place /
It’s the land where mother earth gave birth to the first /
But many years ago it was meant to be cursed /
European ships, wish that was another dream /
You ain’t hearin’ shit now from the other team /
Their culture, their land got robbed by white men /
Back then the tribes didn’t believe what’s happenin’ /
Mothers & Fathers, Kids & Babies got seperated /
Brothers & Daughters, it’s too crazy cause they hated /
Sellin’ them a change waitin’ for them to rearrange /
Damn it’s shame, pointin’ fingers and callin names /
Will all this stop, givin’ less hate and more love /

Don’t make the same mistake, you should give before you take /
Poverty is never fake so stop the war for god’s sake /

Never give it up, (I said) never give it up /
Hook (Mr. T-N-T):

We go through and you can
See that it’s hard to be
Free so just follow

Verse 2 (Sir B-Cane):
We lived 100 years in slavery but now it has to end /
Thousands of innocent Africans was send for a rent /
They cut us from our mothers arm /
The strongest of us worked in farms /
The smartest of us got killed,
So he can’t harm /
White men won’t let us learn,
Now look how we teach,
White men won’t let us earn,
But look how we preach
You can take us from home /
But you can’t kill the speech
So we speak what you can’t reach
Is the Love that mother Africa gave it us /
You’ll never understand the Land that’s filled with dust /
Now it’s a must to say what’s on/
That’s why I’m here to sing that same old Song /
Hook (Mr. T-N-T)
Prayer (Mr. T-N-T):
This goes out to all my great friends all around the world. To all those who want to make good changes in the way us humans live together. Let’s pray that the ignorance shall be forgotten so we can look forward to a friendlier future. To experience a future with unity between all of us.

Spent a day in the South of Africa
A day so cold with rain and snow
Spent a day there with Peter and hope for sure
We will come back to
SO - WE - TO
SO - WE - TO
A lot of these old TV pictures running
Through my head
But Peter told us - don’t worry
There is no more violence
Remember the Isac Morrison School
Some people were dead
It’s past, people take care
What they are living for
SO - WE - TO
SO - WE - TO
(Chorus)
Yees, come with me, come with me, let’s go
Into Jo’burg’s South Western Township
Lets sing some songs of good hope
and let loose.
Fasten your seat belts
we\'re gonna drive through the most fascinating,
breath taking, all time rebuilding, surprise causing,
dazzling township of the world...
SO - WE - TO
(Chorus)
We stopped in front of
The St. Matthews School
Children in the school yard
Outside it was so cool
50 or so running straight to us -
Yees, they did ya
(Chorus)
We’ve moved into a class room -
Little girls and boys
Look on the children’s smiling faces -
Into their eyes
Learning with so much fun
A few minutes by car away
From the St. Matthew’s School
Some adults learning how to run business
I tell you it was cool,
John and Maria want
To open a grocery store,
Yees, theses people know
Exactly what they are living for.
(Solo)
Anxiety,creativity,oppression,insistence,sorrow,hope.
(Chorus)
At last Peter showed us Soweto’s Home
For The Aged
We asked a old lady
What has been changed?
She said: we live our daily life
As we did ever before
That change is the change for our grandchildren
Not for us anymore
She looked thru’ the window
With tears in her eyes
Tells not lies
(Chorus)

Tell me now the truth
Who has shot my boys
Tell me now the truth
I will hear your voice
They came in the night
They broke in my house
They killed my children
They destroyed my life
Tell me now the truth
Who has shot my boys
Tell me now the truth
I will hear your voice
Now - I can not forget
Now - I must live on
Now - I must talk about
Now - I must cry loud
Murder - Where are you?
Murder - Where do you live?
Murder - How do you feel?
Murder - Emotions of steel?
Tell me now the truth
Who has shot my boys
Tell me now the truth
I will hear your voice
I don’t want to forgive
You know I must live
I want you on the
Commission of Truth
Tell me now the truth
Who has shot my boys
Tell me now the truth
I will hear your voice
Murder - Where are you?
Murder - Where do you live?
Murder - How do you feel?
Murder - Emotions of steel?
Tell me now the truth
Who has shot my boys
Tell me now the truth
I will hear your voice
Our land need the truth
Take care of the truth
I wish I can forgive
‘Cause I have to live
Murder - Where are you?
Murder - Where do you live?
Murder - How do you feel?
Murder - Emotions of steel?
Murder - You broke my life
Murder - You broke my wife
Murder - You broke the nation
Murder - You want reconciliation?
Yes - we need reconciliation
No, no, not collaboration
Yes- we need reconciliation
Yes - to heal our new nation

a light to guide the way
just believe
in a land so proud and wide
when everybody shines a light
for all the world to see
look around you
in this land of sea and wine
worth to live for and to die
can you feel the mystery
can you feel the pride
a sleeping giant
longing to arise

Nothing as fields - and
Nothing as one street - and

...Somewhere, deep into the Freestate
Lives Mark with his family - and
Collecting records from every band
He loves the old heroes like the KISS
He plays the good old stuff like it is
It’s part of their life in Philippolis
Land, only land - and
Land, only land - and
It’s land, only land - and
Nothing as fields - and
Nothing as one street - and
And still Burenland - and...
Somewhere, deep into the Freestate
Lives Mark with his family - and
They live in the house of Lawrence van der Post
A house which was damaged and lost
They bought it from the Prince of Wales
They tried hard for that sale
Land, only land - and
Land, only land - and
It’s land, only land - and
Nothing as fields - and
Nothing as one street - and
And still Burenland - and...
Mark is a fan and he likes van der Post
But for the folks in his town - for the most
They have no idea about that famous writer
They did not know that Post was a fighter
For human rights and for all the black
They havn’t a common sense on that track
Mark lives on his own as Lawrence did
With his child and his wife on an island
Mark plays those days all good old songs
From the Beatles, the Kinks and the Stones
May be that helps him in some way - and
To survive in Phillipolis - still Burenland
Land, only land - and
Land, only land - and
It’s land, only land - and
Nothing as fields - and
Nothing as one street - and
Still Burenland - and...
And if you are on the way thru that land
Make a stop in Phillipolis - and
Ask for the house of Lawrence van der Post
Mark and his wife are very kind hosts
Have look into the house, stay for some days - and
Hear ‘Till the end of the day’ Paul Simon’s Graceland
(Yeah, Philippolis you really got me!)
Land, only land - and
Land, only land - and
It’s land, only land - and
Nothing as fields - and

Interlude:
Home, I\'m on my way
Verse 1:
Everyday when the sunlight hits the ground
And I wake up feeling safe and sound
I’m looking forward to another day
Find some water splash it in my face
My papa wants me to learn to read
He always tells me “that’s all you need”
He’s saving money for my eduction
So that one day I can leave
Don’t wanna go don’t wanna leave my family
Behind me
Chorus:
My home is way down in Africa
Down in South Africa
Verse 2:
One day my uncle came on by
When I greeted him he had the biggest smile
Gave me a bike he’d found that day
...it only had one wheel but hey...
I never had to learn to ride
All I had to do is close my eyes
Suddenly I’m travelling through the sky
The world is flying by
Higher, higher and higher
Over Afrika
Verse 3:
My bag is packed and it’s time to leave
Moving to the city is hard for me
Papa wants me to have success
“I love you boy” is what he says
Don’t wanna go don’t wanna leave my family
Behind me
Chorus:
My heart is way down in Africa
Down in South Africa

Titel: Bist du Mensch
Strophe 1:
Strophe 2:
in so vielen korrupten andern ländern//
für die du keine Verantwortung hast//
lieblos zieht einer den anderen ab//
Refrain
Strophe 3:
damit du weißt, was geschieht joa // es treibt mich ans Mikro //
Du bist nicht Deutschland, fang an was beizutragen //
Zeit „nein“ zu sagen statt Leid zu klagen//
ja DU – BIST – MENSCH fang an, was beizutragen! //
Refrain

Hope for Freedom
Hope for Peace
Togehter, they can grow
just like a grain in the sand
all we need is your helping hand
This is a song for Afrika
and we call it Hope (Hope)
for the kids, down in the slums
they\'re orphans, did you know
but you can help, with your heart
open it, now it\'s time to start
(Refrain)
Hope, Hope, Hope for Africa
let us built a better world
Hope, Hope, Hope for Africa
let us sing like the birds
This is a song for Afrika
and we call it Hope (Hope)
Hope for Peace
and hope for Love
Eternally, for all
i think this song is like a prayer
singing together, we\'re almost there
This is a song for Afrika
it\'s a song for Hope
if you believe, take a hand
black or white
it will be a friend
